Xella Baustoffe GmbH

Product „Xella - Multipor 2023“

Participant ID: DE-3466-1019

This certificate guarantees that the reported quantity of 22188 tons CO2 has been saved in Gold Standard and VCS tested climate projects.

Xella Baustoffe GmbH has acquired shares (certificates) in climate protection projects corresponding to the calculated volume of 22188 tons CO2 to offset the carbon emissions of “Xella - Multipor 2023”, and therefore plays a transparent part in the realisation of the projects. This ensures that the company compensates for its own CO2 emissions, and thus scales back the rise in global warming.

The projects have been certified, and the issue and closure of the certificates is registered transparently.

Xella Baustoffe GmbH is therefore a voluntary participant in emissions trading, and thus makes a contribution to maintaining a viable environment by reducing the emissions of greenhouse gases. The holder of this certificate makes a sustainable contribution to the commitment to tackle global warming.

STERKSEL METHANE RECOVERY PROJECT PRAKTIJKCENTRUM

THE NETHERLANDS

Animal methane capture and power generation.
Agricultural operations have been shaping the landscape and the way of life in the Dutch Provinces of North Brabant and Limburg for several hundred years.
Until today, this is a mostly rural region with relatively little heavy industry, where agro-swine industry still plays the significant role. Indeed, these provinces house the majority of swine farms in Holland.
This concentration of livestock has already led to a situation in which the complete manure cannot be disposed off on fields in the region any more due to the reached nitrogen absorption limit of the soil.
